Morning,
after your breakfast, we take you for city tour of Delhi. We first drive
you to Lotus temple, followed with the marvelous Akshardham temple. Spend
some time in the gardens of the temple and meticulously observe the
spellbound beauty of the temple. We then continue drive to Qutub Minar-
tallest brick minaret in the world. Later, visit to Rashtrapati Bhawan(
President House) and walk in the beautiful green lawns to reach India
Gate, as it is adjacent. After lunch, we drive you to Old Delhi's Chadni
Chowk while en routing Darya Ganj famous for its book market. In Chadni
Chowk, have a thrilling rickshaw ride and shop in the bazaars for gems and
jeweleries. We then take to Jama Masjid following which we drive you to
Red Fort. Watch a 'Light and Sound' show in the evening and then we return
back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Morning,
after breakfast, we take you to Tiger Hill near Ghoom. The Tiger Hill, is
famous for its magnificent dawn views of the Kanchenjunga and on a clear
day even Mount Everest is visible from this hill top. Then, we drive to
Senchal Lake - a famous picnic spot. We then take to the Gompas like the
Bhutia Busty Gompa with Kanchenjunga backdrop and Ghoom Gompa
most famous monastry in Darjeeling. After lunch, we take you for
sightseeing of Darjeeling. We take you to Dhirdham Temple, modeled as the
most conspicuous Hindu temple in Darjeeling. We continue drive to Bengal
Natural History Museum a comprehensive collection of Himalayan and Bengali
fauna. Later, we take you to Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park that
protects dwindling breeds of wild animals. Evening, is at India's oldest
passenger rope-way to enjoy this thrilling activity. We take you to
Darjeeling Tea gardens before retiring to the hotel for night's stay.
Morning,
after breakfast, we drive you to Gangtok. On arrival, check into hotel and
have lunch comprising of Himalayan cuisine. Then come out to see the huge
white Do Drul Chorten - a landmark of Gangtok. We then drive to Enchey
Monastry, where you can see the masked dances if traveling on January.
Post lunch, we take you to Tshangu Lake and later we drive to Ganesh Tok,
Hanuman Tok and Tashi View Point from where you get spectacular views of
snow clad peaks like Kanchenjunga and Mt. Siniolchu. Return back to the
hotel for overnight stay.
Morning,
after breakfast, we drive you to Kalimpong situated between Deolo and
Durbindra Hills at an altitude of 1250 meters. On arrival, check into
hotel. After lunch, we start sightseeing around Kalimpong, covering Zong
Dog Palri Fo Brang Monastery, Durpin Dara, Flower and Orchid Nurseries and
Kalimpong market. In Kalimpong market, buy Lepcha and Bhutanese embroidery
on clothing and purses. Also, taste the famous cheese of Kalimpong.
Overnight at the hotel.
Morning,
after breakfast, we take you to Shillong Peak where you can have a
breathtaking view of the Shillong city. We continue drive to Elephant
falls named so as it is like the trunk of an Elephant. The roaring sound
of the water cascade is really fascinating. We then continue drive to
Cherrapunji, close to Mawsynram that records highest rainfall in the
world. It takes around 2 hrs to reach Cherrapunji. On arrival, have a very
sumptuous lunch at the restaurants here. After lunch, we drive you to the
1035-ft high Mawsmai Water Falls. The magnificence of this cascading
waterfalls can leave anyone awestruck. We then continue drive to the
famous caves of Cherrapungi. Use torch lights to find out the ways inside
the caves. This cave is known to extend up-to Guwahati but the route is
now sealed. Later, we drive you to Guwahati and on arrival, check into
hotel for overnight stay.
Morning,
after breakfast, we take you to the airport to board a flight to Jorhat.
On arrival, we take you to the tea gardens of Jorhat. Collect some tea
leaves from the gardens as they have an amazing flavor. Later, drive to
Kaziranga National Park and on arrival, lodge in at the Bonhabi jungle
resort of Kaziranga National Park. Have lunch that comprises of fabulous
multi-cuisines. Later, we take you for a Jeep Safari into the forests of
Kaziranga. Have glimpses of the famous one-horned rhinoceros in the
forest. The forest is also dominated by wild Elephants, Leopard cats,
Tigers, Wild boars, Buffalo's and pythons. Return back to the resort for
overnight stay.
Morning,
we take you to the National Park in Kaziranga for an Elephant Safari. It
is fascinating to watch this marshy forest in day light from Elephant's
back. The frequent sighting of tigers, wild boars and the one-horned
rhinos fascinates the viewers. It is also very safe to mount on an
elephant and tour the forest. Later, return to the resort for lunch. Take
some rest and then indulge in a jeep safari around the forest. Have the
Sunset view in Kaziranga National Park. Late in the evening, return back
to the resort for overnight stay.
Morning,
after breakfast, we drive you to Dimapur. On arrival, we check into hotel
and have lunch. Later, we take you to meet the tribal of Nagaland. The
largest of the tribe are Aos, Konyaks, Semas and Angamis. Visit their
houses that are decorated with mighty buffalo and mithun horns. Meet the
tribals adorned with their headhunter tattoos. Learn weaving from the
villagers, as Nagaland is world famous for its weavers. Buy some pieces of
the unique Naga shawls and handicraft items prepared by the villagers.
Later, return back to the hotel and there is an entertainment program for
you - a tribal war dance of the Nagas. Overnight at the hotel.
Morning,
after breakfast, we take you for a show on Classical Manipuri style of
dance. Manipur is world famous for its classical dance as it is considered
to be a mosaic of tradition and culture, and is a unique form of dance.
This show is a celebration of Manipuri art form and is truly flawless.
After, the show, return back to the hotel for lunch. Check out of the
hotel. We have made arrangements for sightseeing of Imphal that covers war
cemetery and surrounding battlefield areas. After sightseeing, drive
directly to the airport. Board the plane for Guwahati. On arrival, board
connecting flight to New Delhi and from New Delhi, a flight takes you back

  This tour has been fascinating and has ably overcome all obstacles of the past like bad road conditions and inappropriate communication network. Learn weaving techniques from Naga tribes and also capture some moves of the Manipuri Claassical Style of dance in Manipur.  Hi I’m Harakhty. The tour gave me the chance to rendezvous the peaks of Mt. Everest, it was like a dream come true. Meeting the tribal population in their native locations was another exciting day for me, as I got the chance to know the life of the people totally unaware about the outside world. I found Nagaland and Manipuri tribes, are different from Khasi tribes of Mehghalaya. I would like to add here, if there are facilities to stay with these tribes, that would be great. It is amazing to find an English culture among tribes of Meghalaya. They are so well spoken when it comes to fluent English speaking. Shillong, overwhelmed me with its cascading Elephant Falls and boat cruise in Ward's lake. Also, the tasting of momos is mouth watering as my mouth still becomes watery whenever I remember its taste. Drive to Cherrapunji was full of scenic pleasures but it was bit hectic as we were on our toes right from morning till evening. However, the caves of Cherrapunji served as a great shade from rains in Cherrapunji. In Assam, visit to Kaziranga National Park to sight one horned rhinos, is enhanced with Elephant safaris, that actually took me to close quarters with the wild beasts. Nagaland, fascinates with its unique weaving techniques besides a touch-me-not plant oh! What an experience…. In Manipur, it is the classical Manipuri Dance was a treat for the eyes, as I had never seen such a captivating performance that virtually drew away all my weariness from the trip.
