the Mukteshwar temple, at an altitude of 2,315. To reach this temple that
is dedicated to Lord Shiva, one needs to climb the stone stairs. This
temple is consecrated with a white Lingam that is surrounded by the idols
of Brahma, Vishnu, Parvati, Ganesh, Nandi and Hanuman.
Just next to this temple is the Chauli Jal, which has a natural
latticework on the rock. It is said that barren women are blessed with a
child if they touch this jail.
To add to the list of famous attractions, there is the Indian Veterinary
Research Institute that was established in the year 1898. In the campus of
the institute tourists can see various departments for Research, Animal
Nutrition, Genetics and Bacteriology along with a library and a museum. On
the extramural, this institute is surrounded by dense forests that have
some of the most ferocious beings. Be patient and you can catch a glimpse
of the snow leopard or Himalayan black bear.
The Famous Rock Outcrop - Chauthi ki Jali
